What is Miracle Wave?

Shock wave therapy (also known as ESWT) is a modern, non-invasive treatment that uses high-intensity sound waves (acoustic pulses) to help promote healing faster and more effectively - with no downtime. It is a therapy used worldwide in the field of sport's medicine and physical therapy.

Shock wave therapy transmits high peak acoustic pressure waves to promote and accelerate healing for chronic and subacute conditions. Research supports shock wave therapy as an effective treatment for various soft tissue injuries, musculoskeletal pain and mobility issues.

Biological benefits include:

  • Reduce pain faster
  • Improve range of motion
  • Increase blood flow and micro circulation
  • Stimulate tissue remodeling and neovascularization
  • Remodel fibrotic tissue and release trigger points
  • Reverse chronic inflammation
  • Increase nitric oxide (NO)
  • Activates stem cells and growth factors

How Does It Work?

Shock wave therapy utilizes advanced acoustic wave technology sending noninvasive high-peak pressure waves into injured tissue quickly alleviating pain while also kickstarting the angiogenesis process, accelerating tissue regeneration, and restoring mobility and function to affected areas. Shock wave therapy is known under many names such as acoustic pressure wave therapy (APWT), extracorporeal pulse activation therapy (EPAT), and acoustic wave therapy (AWT); however, the two main categorizes of shock wave therapy are categorized as radial and focused waves. Radial shock wave therapy is optimal for a wider variety of indications, whereas focused shock wave therapy offers a deeper penetration for targeted conditions.
